For a while I stuffed them into a small trash can which I would have to empty regularly but I always felt bad about all that waste.
Finally the last time I went in to Smithville Recycle Center I asked if they could recycle any of them.

Deb invited me to post about my life-on-a-ranch blog here in Central Texas on her site. Just wanted to remind everyone that the time has arrived to start treating for pre-emergence control for those winter weeds in Bastrop County. You will need to treat every 3-4 weeks, probably 3 times. We have recently been VERY BLESSED to have received about three inches of rain over the last ten days at our ranch located between Bastrop and Smithville, especially in the midst of one of the worst droughts that Central Texas has seen in a long time. Before the rains my once beautiful pastures were completely brown and dirt was beginning to show. There are a few feed stores in the Bastrop area but my favorite is Bastrop Feed and Supply located on the south feeder road of Hwy 71 past Walmart and before the river. The store carries feed and supplies for just about every kind of domestic animal that you can think of ( dogs, cats, rabbits, poultry, horses, cattle, etc.,etc!) |
