La Grange in located in Fayette County along the Colorado River. Settled originally as part of Stephen F. Austin colonist the area became a popular settlement for families of German and Czech immigrants as the area reminded them a lot of their home land. The town is rich in history from those early settlement days right up in to the 70’s when it became infamous when the last open brothel known as the Chicken Ranch was shut down.
