Our paint horse ranch, Ponderosa Paints, is located along the Colorado River between Bastrop and Smithville in Bastrop County Texas.
About Ponderosa Paints
I purchased all my Skip Along 
mares from my mentor Virgil Lawson in Wetmore Colorado. Virgil used to kid me that I bought all the color out of his pastures! I have successfully bred these mares for the past 14 years in Colorado, Arizona, and now here in Texas. I produce quality all around foals annually.

The Mares
Skip Along Julia – It began with Julia a daughter of Skip Along Paint. Julia was the first of the Skip Along sisters that I purchased. Once I had one, I had to have more!
Skip Along Sarah – Full sister to the late Skip Along Julia, half sister to Skip Along Cindy and Red Hot Skip Along, own daughter of Skip Along Paint. Dam of Jigsaw’s Debut, Red Hot and Spotless and Lonestar Obsession. APHA and BEHA registered.
Skip Along Cindy – Own daughter of Skip Along Paint. Cindy makes beautiful babies ( VLS Medicine Doctor, Ice Cold Fusion) APHA and BEHA registered.
Skip Along Tia – Skip Along Tia is the last “sister” of my five mares another own daughter of Skip Along Paint. Her dam is Skip Along Jazz. APHA and BEHA registered.
Skip Along Jazz – half sister to Skip Along Paint, Jazzy is the dam of Skip Along Tia. This brood mare has produced many quality foals.
Shes Flashy – Shes Flashy is a red dun mare – retired barrel horse out of Colorado. She has had some beautiful babies for us.
