Indian Lake is located approx. 7 miles outside of Smithville, 13 miles from Bastrop, and about one hour from Austin – central, on FM 153.
Information about Indian Lake
There is a private lake community in the southeast corner of Bastrop County – Indian Lakes. Once part of a large ranching property, the area and topography lent itself to the development of a a small man made body of water now known as Shipp Lake. The community provides a relaxed environment for lake front and lake area homes. There is an HOA and restrictions and annual dues are minimal. The community members can enjoy the park, fishing dock, boat ramp, lake privledges, picnic /pavillions, swimming pool, bathhouse and playground. Water service is thru AQUA and electric service is thru Bluebonnet. Most all of the subdivision roads are paved.
