Jeddo is located in the southern tip of Bastrop County at FM 713 and 1296 nine miles south of Rosanky and approximately eighteen miles south of Bastrop.

Jeddo, Texas was founded in 1874 and was a large African American community. The St. Phillips area is a part of Jeddo where blacks and whites, mostly farmers, maintained strong friendships on the same economic level. Today the Jeddo area is a popular farm and ranch and rural residential spot within commuting distance to Bastrop or Austin.
