Smithville is a great “old rail town” in Bastrop County located along the Colorado River south east of Austin about 36 miles. The historic district begins downtown.

There is a still a small town quaint feel to Smithville even in this modern day and age. Neighbors sit out on their porches enjoying the breezes. Families ride their bikes together.
